The mechanical genius and technical strength of Sabahans will be the focus of government support. “All (good) things are possible with hard work and the skill sets that the future needs,” said YB Datuk Darell Leiking, Minister of International Trade and Industry. “In fact, even the smartphone you are using is part of IOT,” Leiking said at the launching of MARii’s satellite in Sabah, it’s first outside the Klang Valley. MARii or the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and Internet of Things Institute serves as the focal point, coordinating centre and think tank to enhance the competitiveness of the automotive sector. “MARii’s first ever satellite will extend its reach for technology adoption within the automotive, robotics and IOT sectors as well as overall mobility,” said Datuk Madani Sahari, MARii’s CEO.
