Toyota Prius c Hungry For A FightPOSTED BY admin ON 19 March 2012
Toyota is not a company that likes to brags its success early, usually preferring to let its market leadership do the talking. However, an unusually worded press release from Toyota Motor Sales USA, astounding the early success of the Prius c sounded very much like a new cow boy rode into town and is hungry for a gun fight.
Toyota was keen to point out that within just the first three days on the market (since March 12), the Toyota Prius c had already outsold the entire February sales of both the Nissan Leaf and Chevrolet Volt.
“A number of factors drive the auto market, and fuel prices is one of them,” said Bob Carter, group vice president and general manager of the Toyota Division. “With 53 miles-per-gallon in the city and priced under $19,000, the timing for Prius c couldn’t be better.”
