POSTED BY Raja Danielle ON 18 April 2017

The Perodua Bezza, the country’s best-selling sedan, was named 2017 Car of the Year at the 2017 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Excellence Awards recently. The award was based on the model’s substantial sales volume, sales growth, market share in its segment and overall impact towards the total industry volume.

The Perodua Bezza was also awarded Debut Car of the Year while the Perodua Axia was the winner of the Value-for-Money (1.3-litre and Below Category) Car of the Year.

President and chief executive officer of Perodua, Datuk Dr Aminar Rashid Salleh commented, “We are overwhelmed with this recognition for the Perodua Bezza and the Axia. The 2017 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Car of the Year Award for the Bezza is an endorsement towards our first ever full upper body designed model.”

In a move to offer better value for its customers, Perodua recently announced slight revisions to the Bezza’s styling and equipment.

While the front bumper undergone a light redesign, the rear bumper was given a deeper skirt, thus reducing the exposed underside.

The interior of the Premium X and Advance variants get new chrome platinum trim on the air-conditioning controls. New leather upholstery, however, is unique to the Advance variant.

According to Perodua Sales SdnBhd’s managing director, Dato’ DrZahariHusin, “These improved features are offered at no increase in price and these models are available at all our showrooms nationwide. We welcome everyone to our sales outlets to find out more.”

Overall, the PeroduaBezza sold a total of 50,900 units since it was launched in July last year. It is learnt that owners of last year’s Bezzavariants can upgrade their cars to have the improved look by obtaining a special package.

The 2017 PeroduaBezza comes in five variants – the 1.0-litre (manual and automatic transmission), the 1.3-litre Premium X (manual and automatic transmission) and the 1.3-litre Advance (automatic transmission only).
