Inspired Motor, the sole and exclusive distributor of Infiniti vehicles in Malaysia will be expanding its M sedan range with the introduction of the M35h performance hybrid and the M25 next month.

Pricing for both cars are yet to be confirmed, but inside sources say the M25, which will sport a 2.5-litre V6 engine, might come with a RM50,000 lower price tag than the current RM425,000 M37.

The M35h is the brand’s first hybrid car, and as the denotation suggests, power will come from a 302hp 3.5-litre V6 with the assistance of a 50kW electric motor.

“We are confident that our expanded range will further widen Infiniti’s appeal to luxury car buyers,” said Christopher Tan, general manager of Inspired Motor. “Since the brand’s establishment here in October, we have sold around 60 units. Our customers already own multiple cars, and are those who are looking for a performance luxury car with Japanese reliability and engineering.”

Infiniti held a “Meet and Greet” session with Sebastien Buemi, the test and reserve driver for the Red Bull Racing Formula One team, at the Infiniti Center in Kuala Lumpur earlier today.

Buemi has participated in 55 Grand Prix since joining Red Bull Racing’s sister team, Scuderia Toro Rosso in 2009.

This year marks the second year of Infiniti’s partnership with the championship winning Red Bull Racing outfit.
