Bermaz Motor introduces G-Vectoring Control model range

Further revolutionising driving technologies following the SkyActiv and SkyActiv-D engine ranges, Mazda has introduced G-Vectoring Control (GVC). The system, which is part of Mazda’s SkyActiv-Vehicle Dynamics, is now available for the Mazda3, Mazda6 and Mazda CX-3 that are officially brought in by Bermaz Motor.

About the G-Vectoring Control

As driving pleasure has been one of Mazda’s core values in developing their cars, the company introduced GVC to elevate driving comfort, vehicle control and reduce driver fatigue. This is achieved by finely-managing engine torque based on steering and acceleration input, resulting to improved handling for the driver and ride quality for the passengers.

When cornering, the GVC works seamlessly by adjusting power delivery and shifting vehicle weight accordingly to reduce lateral G-force fluctuation and the required steering input. Even in a straight line, the system makes multiple adjustments that were previously made by the driver, eliminating unnecessary input. These adjustments are part of Mazda’s design philosophy to make the cars perform as if it were an extension of the driver’s body.

The GVC integrates the car’s key components such as engine, chassis, transmission and body to enhance what Mazda describes as the ‘Jinba-Ittai’ driving feel of its models.

yang 2017 Mazda3 may have received minor tweaks on its exterior, but these changes effectively display the car’s KODO: Soul of Motion design. Changes include a bolder grille, new LED headlights and new tail lights. Dalam, the Mazda3 gets a new instrument cluster graphic design and an electronic parking brake that replaces the previous mechanical unit. The car will also feature a new steering wheel taken from the CX-9.

The car will still be powered by the 2.0-litreSkyActiv-G petrol engine that produces 162hp at 6,000rpm and 210Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The engine channels its power to the front wheels via a six-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic transmission.
