Isuzu Technical School starts the pioneer course

ITSISUZU Malaysia is in collaboration with Skill Development Department to produce more skilled mechanics has started with the first intake of its trainees.

The first five trainees of the Isuzu Technical School (ITS) starts the six-month course to obtain Malaysian Skill Certificate – Stage II at the end of the course.

Chief executive officer of Isuzu Malaysia, Kenji Matsuoka who witnessed the course excution ceremony at the Isuzu Development Centre (IDC) in Shah Alam said that the establishment of the ITS is to build a solid foundation in producing highly-skilled mechanics in the country and at the same time to improve the effectiveness of Isuzu service centres.

The ITS course that includes theoretical and practical classes is conducted using the syllabus that has been developed by Isuzu Malaysia under the assistance of Malaysian Skill Development Department involving principles of basic workshop operations, commercial vehicle operating system, service procedures and maintenance and overhaul of components.

The final part of the course is practical exercise in Isuzu workshops where the trainees will be exposed to the real working environment; improving the working procedures, handling customer requests as well as spare parts operations.

To enroll into the ITS, the candidates must have credits for mathematics and science in their SPM.
