
Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye is a passionate advocate for road safety.A former trade unionist, he joined politics in 1969. He was a two term state assemblyman and then a four term parliamentarian until he left politics in 1990. He is currently a member of the National Road Safety Council, chairman of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), chairman of SP Setia Foundation, and vice-chairman of the Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF).
