In light of news that Euro 5 diesel will be available in the Klang Valley imminently, sources within companies including Nasim say that they are scrambling to hold meetings to strategise their diesel vehicle product line-up.
Sources state that Euro 5 diesel will be made available at 15 stations within the Klang Valley, in time for Merdeka Day.
The Euro count in diesel fuels refers to how clean the fuel is. The higher the count, the cleaner a vehicle’s exhaust emission will be. For instance, Euro 5 will have less nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and particulate matter. There are also other benefits from better diesel fuel such as improved fuel economy, power and lower emissions of CO2.
At present, carmakers with an official presence in Malaysia that offer diesel passenger vehicles include BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Jaguar, Land Rover, Ford, Hyundai, Mazda, Nissan, Peugeot, Citroen and Toyota.
