AMG opens first stand-alone showroom in BeijingPOSTED BY admin ON 25 April 2012
Mercedes-Benz’s performance tuning arm, AMG, has opened their first stand-alone AMG Performance Centre store in Beijing, alongside the world premiere of the G63 AMG SUV and the company’s 45th anniversary.
Unlike the other 194 AMG Performance Centres which are open in 18 countries around the world, this one is said to be the first and only stand-alone boutique in the world, not a gazetted section in a Mercedes-Benz showroom.
The AMG Performance Centre occupies 381 square metres and two levels of the Sanlitun Village North luxury shopping mall in the middle of the Chinese capital.
Potential customers can also sample the various paint finishes, leather trim colours, and material surfaces, AMG has available in their individualisation programme to trim their next AMG purchase to their exact specification.
The opening this stand-alone AMG Performance Centre, along with BMW’s M division’s first dedicated showroom in Singapore, shows the growing economic and buying power in Asian markets.
