NST-MAI Asean Autoshow 2015: The Golden Touch

POSTED BY ON 15 November 2015

WHO would have thought that the Sultan of Selangor, HRH Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah is a vintage and classic car collector? And get this, in his younger days as the Raja Muda, His Royal Highness was an active participant in several classic car rallies, most notably the Peking to Paris rally in which he was involved twice.

Recently at the NST-MAI Asean Autoshow 2015, a part of his collection of old school cars (we understand that His Royal Highness has about 40 classic and vintage wheelers sitting in his Royal Automobile Gallery at the Alam Shah Palace) were displayed – HRH gave his consent for four vintage rally cars and three Jaguars.

Furthermore, over 20 cars belonging to the members of the Malaysia and Singapore Vintage Car Register were put on full view at the Classic Car Concourse, much to the excitement of event patrons and exhibitors alike.
